Helpful Tips

• If you smell natural gas - Get out of your house immediately & call The Gas Co. 800-427-2200 from a different location.
• Water Heater Should be set at 120 degrees. If there are small Children Or Elderly It should only be set at the maximum of 115 degrees
• On Vacation the Water Heater, should be set on vacation or turned off.
• Water Pressure should read 50 - 60 PSI . Above 60 psi  may cause damage and wear to your plumbing system.
• Lower your furnace to 50 degrees, or turn off, when on vacation.
• On Vacation turn off you water to the inside of the house , But  not for the Irrigation 
• Check water powered backup pumps regularly. Unplug sump pump & watch water level rise to a level that kicks back-up pump on. Watch it pump down & shut off. Plug sump pump back in after the test.
• Avoid putting stringy vegetables in your garbage disposal. Feel free to put ice in your garbage disposal, sometimes the grinder blades get stuck and ice will help free it up. Also, grind up a lemon or two occasionally to eliminate any foul odors.
